Who is Weimy?
Weimy is Brendan Weimholt, a 20-year, highly awarded Navy SEAL veteran and the bladesmith behind Weimy Cutlery. He also played himself in the 2012 movie Act of Valor. He began forging in 2012 and now makes handmade knives from his shop in Colleyville, Texas. His work is shaped by years of using knives as tools, a commitment to humility, and a focus on blades built to last.
Are Weimy knives hand-forged?
Yes. All knives are handmade in the Colleyville shop and possess the highest quality possible.
Why do you forge with high carbon steel?
I do this because the best knives I've used throughout my career have been forged from high carbon steel and I can't find its cutting equal. Are there tougher steels out there? Yes. However every knife is made for a specific purpose. If you desire the absolute finest cutting edge and resharpenability like I do, you'll appreciate the pure carbon core of these knives.
Is Weimy Cutlery a family business?
Yes. What started as a hobby has morphed through an obsession, and now into a family business. My wife Shannon is the brain behind Weimy Cutlery. She runs all aspects outside the shop (social media, web page, packaging and shipping, etc.) which is far more arduous than actually forging blades. As both my sons started watching me create knives, curiosity turned to interest and now my oldest son is learning to do some of his own work as well as assist me in the shop. James, my youngest, loves “metaling” with dad.
What is your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days. Please contact weimycutlery@yahoo.com before returning any items. You are responsible for shipping the item back unless the return is a result of our error. The item must be brand new and unused. There is a 10% restocking fee on non-defective items. We strongly recommend you insure any package being returned.
Do you ship internationally?
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Some products cannot be shipped to international destinations if there are import restrictions. Any import duties on Weimy Cutlery products shipped internationally are the responsibility of our customers. Shipping rates for many items are weight-based.
