     The name Nātrā was chosen for this new knife brand as a meaningful evolution from the original Weimy Cutlery line, drawing on deep personal and spiritual roots while expanding access to high-quality blades.

 

     Brendan "Weimy" Weimholt, a retired Navy SEAL and veteran bladesmith, has long embodied the role of a guardian—protecting his family, community, and fellow service members through his military service and now through his craftsmanship. His strong Catholic faith, nurtured throughout his career, inspires this protective ethos: providing reliable tools that defend and sustain the innocent in everyday life, whether in the kitchen or outdoors.

 

     The Aramaic word nātrā (ܢܛܪܐ), meaning "guardian" or "protector" in the language closest to what Jesus spoke, perfectly captures this mission. It honors Weimy's faith ties while symbolizing watchful defense and steadfast reliability.

 

     This Nātrā line was specifically created for those seeking premium, high-performance knives—sharp, durable, and expertly designed—without the premium price tag of fully hand-forged custom pieces.
